How We Make Money
A plain, honest explanation of our revenue — for clients, partners, and anyone who asks.
We believe you deserve to know exactly how CreditGM earns its revenue. Nothing below is hidden in fine print elsewhere on our site or in our agreements — this is the same information, said plainly, in one place.
1. Monthly Service Plans
Our main revenue comes from monthly plans — Starter, Standard, Premium, and Mortgage Ready. You pay a flat monthly fee for active dispute management across all three bureaus, plus an ongoing credit-rebuilding strategy. In compliance with the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA), we never charge before work is performed, and there are no setup or enrollment fees.
We're paid for the process and expertise we provide every month — not for a guaranteed number of items removed, since most items on a credit report are actually accurate and can't legitimately be disputed away.
2. Pay Per Deletion
For clients who prefer to pay strictly for results, we offer a per-item, per-bureau fee, charged only after a disputed item is verified as removed, with a cap so costs stay predictable.
3. Optional Add-On Services
Some services — like credit monitoring or rent reporting — are optional add-ons with their own separate cost, clearly marked as optional rather than bundled silently into a plan's price.
4. Affiliate Partnerships
We recommend a small number of third-party tools — secured credit cards, credit-builder loans, and rent reporting services — that we believe genuinely help clients build credit. If you sign up through one of our links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
Our standard for these partnerships: we only recommend a tool if we believe it would earn a place on this list even if it paid us nothing. The commission is a side effect of the recommendation, not the reason for it.
Every affiliate link on our site is disclosed as one, and we do not recommend products that could work against your financial interest — including debt traps, aggressive tradeline sellers, or anything that encourages taking on new debt to fix old debt.
What We Will Never Do for Revenue
- Charge you before performing services
- Promise removal of an accurate, verifiable negative item
- Recommend a product because of its payout instead of its value to you
- Hide a fee, an add-on cost, or an affiliate relationship
- Encourage identity theft claims, credit sweeps, or any illegal shortcut — regardless of what a client requests
If you ever have a question about how we're compensated on anything we recommend or bill for, ask us directly. We'd rather explain it than have you wonder.
