How Long Does Credit Repair Take?

This is one of the most common questions we hear — and we'll give you an honest answer, not a sales pitch.

The Short Answer
Most clients see meaningful improvements within 3–6 months. Some see changes in 30–45 days. Others with more complex situations may take longer. Anyone who promises specific results in a specific timeframe is not being honest with you.
What Happens at Each Stage
Days 1–7: We review your credit reports, identify all disputable items, and prepare your first round of dispute letters.
Days 7–35: Bureaus have 30 days to investigate disputes. During this time, they contact creditors for verification.
Days 35–45: You receive investigation results. Items that can't be verified must be removed. Items verified as accurate remain.
Month 2–3: Second round of disputes based on results. We also begin creditor interventions and goodwill letters where applicable.
Month 4–6: Continued dispute rounds, score monitoring, and credit building recommendations. Many clients see their biggest score jumps in this window.
Factors That Affect Your Timeline
- Number of negative items on your report
- Age of the negative items
- Whether you have any positive credit history
- How quickly creditors respond to investigations
- Your current credit utilization rate
